About Me
Hi, I’m Jasmine — and I genuinely love what I do!
Hello!I've spent 11 years in project and program management, and the thing that still gets me excited every morning is the same thing it's always been: taking something complex, messy, or ambiguous and turning it into a plan that a team can run with.
Where I Am Now
Right now, I'm a Senior Project Manager & Business Analyst at Universal Music Group — one of the most iconic entertainment companies in the world. I manage a cross-functional team and drive stakeholder relationships in support of front-end development for a shared Shopify Plus theme that powers over 1,000 artist and brand sites globally.
Fast-paced, high-visibility, and exactly the kind of environment I thrive in.
It's fast-paced, high-stakes, and exactly the kind of work I thrive in.
My Background
My career started at a developer-founded agency in Hoboken, NJ — and being thrown into rooms full of brilliant engineers early on gave me something most PMs don't have: I actually understand what's happening on the technical side of a project. Not because I code, but because I've spent years translating between dev teams and the business, and I learned both languages.
From there I moved into the creative and brand space in Brooklyn, where I led end-to-end digital programs for some of the world's most recognizable brands — managing developers, designers, writers, photographers, strategists, and offshore teams, all at the same time. I grew my experience across every major platform and project type, but more importantly, I grew as a leader — building the kind of judgment you can only get from years of real, high-stakes delivery.
Over time, I've taken on bigger programs, bigger budgets, and bigger teams. I've managed project portfolios exceeding $30M annually, built cross-functional teams from scratch, and developed processes and workflows that outlast my involvement — because the best systems don't depend on one person to hold them together.
What Drives Me
I show up to every project the same way: let's figure out what this actually needs, build a plan that makes sense, and then go do it.
I don't believe in process for the sake of process. I believe in the right amount of structure to keep a team moving, the right amount of communication to keep stakeholders informed, and enough flexibility to handle the thing nobody saw coming. Because there's always a thing nobody saw coming.
The work I'm most proud of isn't any single launch. It's the teams I've helped get better, the clients who trusted me with their hardest programs, and the moments where a project that looked like it was in trouble came back together because everyone had a clear direction.
How I Work
Every PM has their own style. Here's mine:
I plan for reality, not the ideal scenario. Timelines should have room for the unexpected. Roadmaps should reflect what the team can actually deliver. I'd rather scope something right upfront than scramble to explain why it slipped.
I communicate early and often. No stakeholder should be surprised by bad news. If something's at risk, I say so — with context, a plan, and options. That's how you build trust.
I protect the team. Good delivery starts with teams that aren't overwhelmed or unclear on priorities. I manage scope so my teams can do focused, quality work — not just more work.
I tailor the methodology to the work. Agile isn't always the answer. Neither is Waterfall. I look at the project, the team, and the client, and I build the approach from there.
What I’m Open To
I'm currently looking for my next challenge — whether that's a senior PM or program management role at a company doing work I believe in, a contract engagement where you need someone who can lead from day one, or a consulting project that needs structure, clarity, and a steady hand.
If that sounds like what you're looking for, I'd love to talk.
